When Work Breaks You

Have you ever worked in a place that slowly wore you down?Where your confidence shrank, your mood changed, and you stopped recognising yourself?
I have seen this for over 40 years in my work with people who felt drained, overwhelmed, or pushed beyond what any human nervous system can endure.
This is something I wish more people knew:
You are not weak.You are not failing.Your system is overloaded.
Toxic environments, constant pressure, unrealistic expectations and unkind behaviour all take a toll.They affect how you think, how you sleep, and how you feel about yourself.Many people do not speak about it because they think it is somehow their fault.
Here is a small reset you can use today if work has left you shaken or tense:
Place your hand gently on your chest.Breathe out slowly.Say one word with softness in your mind: Soften.
Your system will respond immediately.It brings you back into yourself.
